SNAP (Food Stamps) VS WIC (Women,Infants & Children): What is the Difference? Can I Get Both?
The Supplemental Nutritional Assistance program (SNAP), previously known as food stamps, and the Special Supplemental Nutritional Program for Women , Infants and Children (WIC) are two of the most important programs that Americans with food insecurities can use to get access to food and nutritional resources from the US Government. Currently there are millions of people across America who are struggling with food insecurities. Around 6.5 million of these people struggling with food insecurities are children. This has only been made worst by a spike in unemployment and food costs caused by the lockdown and the pandemic. Between the two programs there seems to be a lot of confusion about what each of these program do and how they work.
