With the ongoing effects of the pandemic, new data is showing that some communities are being disproportionally affected by the Lockdown and the Pandemic. These health disparities unfortunately effect people who are hit the hardest by the disease and are also the neediest. These communities, often time communities of color, are having both their health and their economics devastated by the effects of the pandemic and the lockdown. These health and economic inequities are apparent in the vast disparity between the effects of the Pandemic and the Lockdown on the general population versus its effects on communities of color. Today we are going to talk about how the Lockdown and Pandemic has had dire consequences on communities of color with regards to their health and economics and what can be done to help moving forward.
