Medicare Health Plans
Medicare Advantage Plans
Private health plans for individuals who have Medicare, but would like their healthcare to be managed by a private health insurance plan. Additionally, these plans often include extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare like : Dental, Vision , Transportation , Gym Memberships and other benefits.
Prescription Drug plans / Part D plans
Plans that cover prescription costs. They help pay for the cost of prescription drugs.
Medicare Supplement & Medi-Gap Plans
Plans for individuals who want to reduce their out of pocket costs not covered by Medicare part A or part B. They are managed by private health insurance plans and have a monthly premium in addition to the normal Medicare premium costs. They do not cover pharmacy prescription costs.
Low Income Subsidy (LIS)
Also known as “Extra Help” is a program that assists individuals with lower income to decrease their out of pocket Medicare costs and Prescription drug costs.
Individual and Family Health Plans
- These are insurance plans for both individuals and families. They can be enrolled directly through an insurance carrier or the Covered California Health Exchange.
- Covered California Plans are private health insurance plans that are eligible for cost reduction or monthly premium assistance. These plans costs vary based on a person's household size, income and age. Generally the more money a household makes the higher the monthly cost of the plan. Inversely the less money a household makes the lower the monthly cost of the plan.
- Households with incomes up to $160,000 a year may still be eligible for monthly premium assistance.
- Individuals without legal status may be eligible for “off exchange” ACA compliant health plans, but without any premium assistance.

Dental Insurance
Dental plans are stand alone plans insurance coverage that helps pay for the cost of dental services. There are both Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) or Health Maintenance Organizations(HMOS) available.
Vision Insurance
Vision Plans are stand alone insurance plans that provide coverage for Vision services. Vision services are available through any provider who accepts the Vision Insurance selected.
